Presentation of the project results on digital transfer workshop
The initial findings and results from our research project also met with interest from representatives of the various state ministries in Germany.
On 18 June 2025, the digital transfer workshop on "Education or Business? The growing role of private universities in Germany" took place. In two workshops, selected results from sub-projects 3 and 1 were presented and discussed by Prof. Dr. Uwe Wilkesmann and Prof. Liudvika Leišytė. In particular, the question of what the increase in student numbers at private universities means for the work of science ministries was explored. Should state universities react to this or should this sector be left to private universities?
The event took place as part of the WiHoWiT – research project (Knowledge transfer between science and higher education research and ministries of education and research) – which is funded by the BMFTR.
