The ELLpH project was well represented at this year’s annual conference of the German Association for Higher Education Research (GfHf), which took place at Duale Hochschule Baden-Würtemberg in Heilbronn from September 10-11. All three sub-projects were represented at the conference and engaged in discussions about research on private higher education.

Jan-Hendrik Ortloff presented the second part of his dissertation on the implementation of interprofessional education at private universities. Based on guided interviews with professors, which were qualitatively analyzed using a coding guideline, he demonstrated how constructive alignment with interprofessional education is implemented in higher education teaching. The results shows that constructive alignment can effectively support the acquisition of skills necessary for interprofessional collaboration in practice, even during the course of study.

In collaboration with Manfred Fiedler, he further presented a poster on a document analysis of factors influencing new teaching and learning concepts in health-related study programmes in private higher education institutions in Germany.
